Coorparoo House

The brief for this 1920's Brisbane home renovation was to modernise, bring light and air and improve functionality.   The existing house house layout is dark and compartmentalised, partly a result of a past confused renovation combined with the original closed plan arrangement of a 1920's home.

The renovation attempts to reinstate the formal procession into the house with a more open plan living approach. Natural ventilation and light is a major focus to every room and a clear vista from the front of the house to the rear provides a constant connection to nature.
